SteadyIron

STEADYIRON FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Work order software that keeps the repair with the machine.

Capture the problem, assign the work and keep a record of what was done. SteadyIron helps small teams manage equipment repairs alongside inspections, maintenance and daily tasks.

No credit card required. See current plans and allowances on our pricing page.

Capture issues where the work happens

An equipment check should do more than flag a problem. Crew members can record a quick repair or create a work order for follow-up, keeping equipment details and notes together.

Give the team a clear next step

Use work-order priorities, status and assignments to organize repairs. The equipment record gives the person doing the work useful context without relying on a separate text-message thread.

Keep completed work useful

Review repair history and notes when the same machine has another issue. Equipment hours, maintenance information and parts inventory stay accessible within the same workspace.

Start from a FieldGuide conversation

Describe an equipment issue and add a photo when helpful. Review FieldGuide’s suggestions and create a work order with the relevant equipment and details attached. Troubleshooting guidance is support, not a substitute for safe repair procedures.

ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOW

A pre-use inspection finds a leak

  1. The operator records the finding and identifies the affected machine.
  2. The team creates a work order and follows its own procedure for taking unsafe equipment out of service.
  3. The assigned person investigates and records the repair details.
  4. The completed record stays with the equipment for future reference.

Start with a free maintenance log

Record service dates, hours or mileage, parts, costs and the next service due. Print the free equipment maintenance log—no account required.

Questions before you start

Can our crew use it from a phone?

Yes. Crew members can open SteadyIron on their phones to work with assigned tasks and equipment checks. Use separate employee accounts so access and activity stay connected to the right person.

Can we start with only a few machines?

Yes. Add your most-used equipment first, including its current meter reading and next service. Plans start at $29/month; check current equipment and employee allowances on the pricing page before choosing.

How is this different from keeping a log?

A log records what happened. SteadyIron also connects the equipment to assigned work, inspections, service intervals and parts. You can still start with the free paper template to organize the details you want to bring over.

What do you need to get started?

Start a trial, add a machine, and record the next task or service it needs. You can add model details, operating hours and more equipment as you go. Employees use their own accounts, within the allowance for your plan.
