Privacy Policy
Effective September 11, 2026
This Policy explains how SteadyIron collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the website or use the service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your email address, business name, authentication records, trial dates, and email preferences.
- Workspace content, such as equipment, maintenance, inspection, work-order, inventory, crew, task, and uploaded-photo information.
- Billing information, such as subscription status and transaction identifiers. Payment-card details are collected and processed by Stripe, not stored directly by SteadyIron.
- Technical and usage information, such as device, browser, IP address, logs, feature activity, errors, and security events.
- Website analytics, including page and action totals, broad campaign/source labels, and randomly generated browser and visit identifiers that connect demo activity and signup steps. Browser identifiers reset after 30 days; visit identifiers reset after 30 minutes of inactivity. Clearing browser storage resets these identifiers. These identifiers are not linked to your account. Analytics record whether a FieldGuide request succeeds, but not its questions, answers, or photos. SteadyIron does not store visitor IP addresses, device fingerprints, full referring URLs, names, or email addresses in these analytics records.
- FieldGuide requests, including prompts, equipment context, and photos you choose to submit.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, operate FieldGuide, support customers, troubleshoot problems, communicate service information, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Service providers
We disclose information to providers that help us operate SteadyIron, including Cloudflare for hosting and infrastructure, Supabase for authentication, Stripe for billing, and OpenAI for FieldGuide processing, and Resend for trial emails when enabled. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction.
4. Sale and advertising
SteadyIron does not sell personal information and does not use workspace content for third-party targeted advertising.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it is processed.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You may update certain account and workspace information in the service, cancel your subscription through billing management, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. Rights vary by location and may be subject to legal exceptions.
8. Children
SteadyIron is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or other reasonable means.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@steadyiron.com.
